The D7 is the top model in Neato's robotic vacuum line. It features excellent navigation and can be controlled via either the app or Alexa. The D7 unlike other robots who struggle to navigate without a map, utilizes advanced sensors and Lasers to create a digital map. This allows you to set virtual "No-Go" lines by a few clicks of your finger. The D7 is not able to enter areas it should not (without the use of barrier tape or towers).
The cleaning performance of the D7 is quite impressive. It can pick up 99.8 percent of Cheerios that are scattered on the floor. This is slightly better than the Roomba i7+, which can only pick up 94.6 percent and the Shark Ion R85, which only manages to collect 100 percent. The D7 can also maneuver well on both bare and high-pile carpet.
Another feature that is great is the option to select between two different levels of cleaning. The Eco mode operates the vacuum more quietly and prolongs the runtime, whereas the Turbo mode offers more efficient cleaning. However Turbo mode operates at a high volume, which can be frustrating when you're using the D7 while working or watching television.
The D7 is among the few robots that are able to create and store multiple floor plans, which is ideal for multi-level homes. In our tests the RoboVac 11S performed better than its predecessor, the eufy RoboVac 30C. It also performed better than ILIFE A4s, the bObsweep Bob Pro, and the ILIFE a4s. It is also simpler to maintain, incurs fewer cost per year and is able to move itself.

5. Neato Q5 Pro
The Neato Q5 Pro is a multi-purpose robot vacuum that excels at cleaning bare floors. It also cleans up a significant amount of debris on both high and low-pile carpet. It is well-built and has an array of navigational features. It's also simple to maintain. It has a shorter maximum battery life, and has more regular costs than other models.
The Q5 is among the slowest robots we've tested however, its layout algorithm is reliable and doesn't need any additional attention after its first run through a space. It begins by tracing out an area, and then fills in the interior with an array of parallel lines. When the task is completed it is returned to the charging station, if it was not at the base.
It did a very respectable job of cleaning hardwood flooring by sucking up at most 88% of the dirt for each test. It struggled a bit more on high and low carpet however it did better than the standard unit. It also has mopping attachments that can clean up wet spills. We haven't tested it.
Its maneuverability is above average for a robot equipped with lidar, as it is capable of softly bouncing into furniture and other obstacles. Its navigation system can recognize stairs and different floor levels which is a great feature that allows it to efficiently tackle multi-story homes. It also can identify specific rooms when you choose them in the app. It is also able to adjust its power level, set no-go zones and view a map of the cleaning area. The Q5 can be controlled via the mobile app, or via voice commands from Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Siri.
